Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois wants to join Real Madrid, according to reports in Spain.

The Belgium international’s current contract with the Premier League champions expires in 2019 and reports have claimed that he is in talks over extending his deal.

But Marca claims that Chelsea’s hierarchy are fully aware of Courtois’ desire to join Madrid as a priority, and the 25-year-old is holding out for a move to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich wants the club’s No.1 goalkeeper to stay at Stamford Bridge, but Madrid will be looking for a long-term replacement for Keylor Navas and Courtois represents the most attainable target.

Marca also claims that Courtois is happy at Chelsea, but feels that his time in the Premier League is coming to an end.

David De Gea remains on Madrid’s radar but the Spain international is set to receive a new contract offer from Manchester United.

Jan Oblak is also a target but the Slovenia international is unlikely to make the move to Real Madrid due to his loyalty to Atletico.
