Arsenal are keen on signing Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson if the youngster fails to sign a new deal with the Red Devils.

Henderson is out of contract at the end of the season and talks between himself and the club have stalled in recent weeks, according to the Sun.

The 20-year-old is currently on loan at Shrewsbury but his path into United’s first team is blocked by David De Gea and Sergio Romero.

David Ospina is likely to leave the Gunners at the end of the season and Arsenal will move for Henderson if his contract situation remains unresolved.

The Gunners will have to pay a compensation fee but it would be a blow for the Red Devils, who want to keep the youngster.

United have been heavily linked with a move for Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil, who is out of contract at the end of the season.

The German is free to sign pre-contract agreements with foreign clubs in January but United must wait until next summer if they want to get him on a free.
