Liverpool ace Emre Can has broken his silence on an offer he received from Juventus in the summer transfer window.

Can has made 94 Premier League appearances since his move from Bayer Leverkusen to Anfield in 2014 but the 23-year-old midfielder was being heavily linked with a move away from Merseyside ahead of the 2017/18 campaign.

Juve chief executive Beppe Marotta has revealed his club made a bid for Can and the Germany international has admitted it was an ‘honour’ to receive such an offer from the Serie A giants.

‘It’s always an honour to receive an offer from such a renowned club, but currently I am only focused on the season with Liverpool. My agent takes care of the rest,’ Can told German outlet Kicker.

‘The Premier League is just a really cool league, the most interesting in the world, but you must always respect other big clubs and leagues.

Can also refused to rule out the possibility that he could be joining Jurgen Klopp at Bayern Munich next term.

He responded: ‘You never know what will happen. And I don’t what Jurgen Klopp plans.’

Reports suggest Manchester United are also expressing a strong interest in Can, with their chief scout, Javier Ribalta, urging Jose Mourinho to make a move for the German.
