Arsenal are lining up a move for PSV star Hirving Lozano and have sent chief scout Steve Rowley to Holland to scout the winger, reports say.

Lozano scored 43 goals in 149 appearances for Mexican outfit Pachuca before being signed by PSV in June.

After signing a six-year contract with the Dutch club, Lozano has made an instant impact this season, scoring six goals in six games and becoming the first player to score in his first three appearances for PSV.

The Mexico international was named the Eredivise Player of the Month in August and his performances have not got unnoticed, with Arsenal expressing interest in securing his services during the winter.

The Daily Mail say Gunners scout Rowley has been keeping tabs on Lozano this term ahead of a potential move in January – it is believed an offer of around £20million would tempt PSV to sell.

Speaking about his future while at Pachuca earlier in the year, the 22-year-old admitted he would love to play for Manchester United in the Premier League.

‘I believe many leagues are beautiful. I like the English and the Spanish very much,’ he told Univision.

‘But let’s see how things are and decide. The one I would like most is Manchester. I like this club a lot and it’s a very important club.’

An attacking and pacey winger, Lozano, who has already made 22 appearances for Mexico, could be seen as a replacement for Alexis Sanchez.

The Chilean superstar was strongly linked with a move to Manchester City in the summer and will be the subject of more speculation in the build-up to the January transfer window.
