Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang admits Borussia Dortmund were ready to sell him this summer.

Chelsea were linked with a £65 million move for the 28-year-old striker as a replacement for Diego Costa before they ended up signing Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid.

The Gabon international was also close to joining Paris Saint-Germain before the French club pulled the plug on a deal after Antero Henrique became their new sporting director.

‘There was a time in the window when I could have changed,’ Aubameyag told SportBild.

‘We [Aubameyang and the Dortmund board] agreed on this together in all openness but nothing happened.

‘I have always felt very comfortable in Dortmund, in the team and at BVB, and that is true today, too. BVB is my family!’
