Jurgen Klopp’s side are searching for consistency at this stage of the season having only won three of their first seven Premier League games.

United are certainly not struggling on that front as Jose Mourinho has led them to six wins and a draw and second place in the table.

Team news

Liverpool have been severely hampered by the news that Sadio Mane will be out for a while with a hamstring injury and certainly miss this game.

Dejan Lovren is also out with a back issue whilst Adam Lallana and Nathaniel Clyne remain sidelined.

It looks like both Romelu Lukaku and Phil Jones are going to recover from injury in time for the clash on Saturday, as will Michael Carrick, although he is unlikely to start.

However, Mourinho will be without Marouane Fellaini, Paul Pogba, Marcos Rojo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic who are all out with long-term problems.
