Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp hit out at Jose Mourinho’s tactics after Manchester United’s 0-0 draw at Anfield.

The Red Devils had just 38% possession at Anfield and only managed one shot on target as Liverpool dominated the game.

Mourinho set-up in a similar fashion to last year’s 0-0 draw at Anfield and Liverpool were left frustrated as they extended a run of just one win in seven.

United have scored more and conceded less than Liverpool this term but Klopp claims he would not be able to set-up as defensively as Mourinho does.

‘Manchester United came here for a point and got it. We came for three points and didn’t get it,’ said Klopp.

‘For sure you could not play this way at Liverpool but it’s OK for Manchester United.’

Joe Gomez was awarded man of the match after the intense affair and he kept Anthony Martial at bay as United looked to hit Liverpool on the counter-attack.

Romelu Lukaku had United’s best chance to break the deadlock but he hit his effort straight at Simon Mignolet in what was United’s only shot on target.
