Kurt Zouma needed to be comforted by his Stoke City teammates after Manchester City ran out 7-2 winners against Mark Hughes’ side on Saturday.

A rampant City were three goals ahead by the half-hour mark before Stoke sparked a potential comeback by scoring in the 44th and 47th minute.

But City’s attack was simply too strong for the Potters as Gabriel Jesus netted his second of the game before goals from Fernandinho, Leroy Sane and Bernardo Silva completed the rout.

And at the final whistle, Zouma, who is spending the season on loan from Chelsea, looked visibly upset by the scoreline and was consoled by Mame Biram Diouf, who scored Stoke’s opening goal.
