Antonio Conte will not let Charly Musonda leave Chelsea in January as he plans to utilise the Belgian more over the course of the season, reports claim.

The Italian coach was left stunned by the 21-year-old’s outburst on Instagram, where he complained at a lack of opportunities in the Chelsea first team.

‘You sacrifice, you work hard, harder, you give more than what’s expected, and often more than you can, because you love what you do and clearly more than you should,’ Musonda wrote on Instagram.

‘And what do you get back? Literally nothing… done.

‘However, with this being said I will continue with same dedication and commitment to this great game.’

Chelsea officials were considering letting him leave on loan in January in order to allow him some more game time away from Stamford Bridge as he continues his development.

But Conte has stepped in to keep Musonda at the club, according to the Evening Standard.

The Italian brought the midfielder off the bench against Crystal Palace in a shock 2-1 defeat and confirmed he will start against Everton in their Carabao Cup clash.

‘I think for the game against Everton it is a good opportunity to give a chance to young players like Charly Musonda and Kenedy.

‘They are young but they deserve this chance because they are working very well, they are improving and to see the improvement during a tough game against Everton, I think is important for the club.’

And with his squad stretched thin, he has big plans for Musonda in the Chelsea first team for the rest of the season.
