Chelsea boss Antonio Conte says Charly Musonda, Kenedy and Ethan Ampadu gave him the ‘answer he wanted’ during his side’s 2-1 win against Everton at Stamford Bridge.

Antonio Rudiger and Willian scored to give Chelsea a two-goal cushion and a late strike from Dominic Calvert-Lewin wasn’t enough to get the Toffees back into the game.

Conte named a much-changed side ahead of Saturday’s trip to Bournemouth and gave a first start to Danny Drinkwater.

However, Conte it was youngsters such as Musonda that impressed him in the win in west London.

‘It was a very dangerous game for us but I am very happy,’ said Conte.

‘I saw a lot of positive things, especially the young players. Charly Musonda, Kenedy and Ethan Ampadu played a good game.

‘They deserve a chance and I am very happy because they gave me the answer I wanted. It was good to see.’
