Liverpool youngster Rhian Brewster scored a hat-trick for the second game in a row to fire England to a first Under-17s World Cup final in style.
The young Lions put Brazil to the sword with a dominant display, with Brewster making the headlines with his three close-range finishes.
Brewster wowed Indian fans with a hat-trick during a 4-1 win over the USA in the quarter-finals and he was in stunning form once more in the last-four as he struck three in Kolkata in a 3-1 win, with Wesley’s goal proving to be a consolation.
England’s reward for the lethal forward’s brilliance is a place in the final against Mali or Spain, who meet later on Wednesday.
In striking his second treble in succession, he became the first player to score consecutive hat-tricks in the quarter-finals and semi-finals of the competition since Marcel Witeczek in 1985.
Brewster is on course to become the winner of the U17 Golden Shoe – an award that has also been won former Premier League players Cesc Fabregas, Carlos Vela and Florent Sinama Pongolle.
He wasn’t alone in his efforts, though, Steve Cooper’s side were a cut above Brazil in what is an exciting generation of talent from these shores.
Manchester City’s Phil Foden controlled the game brilliantly, while Chelsea’s George McEachran was a threat throughout.
