Manchester United defender Luke Shaw fears his time at Old Trafford is all but over due to his on-going feud with Jose Mourinho.

The 22-year-old has made just two appearances so far this season and was given just three minutes of normal time in Tuesday’s 2-0 win against Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.

Shaw moved to Old Trafford for £29million in 2014 but his time at the club has been plagued with injuries and fall-outs with managers.

The defender was heavily criticised by Mourinho last season and the Portuguese boss hit out at the defender’s lack of commitment.

Shaw forced his way back in towards the end of the season but an ankle ligament injury ended his campaign and he watched on as Tuesday as 19-year-old Axel Tuanzebe impressed in his place.

However, Shaw is now fourth choice left-back at the club and he believes he will not be granted enough opportunities to turn his fortune around in the north-west, according to the Guardian.

Mourinho has favoured Daley Blind, Ashley Young and Matteo Darmian at left-back this term and Shaw is yet to appear in the Premier League.

The defender is out of contract at the end of the season, but United are likely to trigger a 12-month extension clause in his deal.
