Chelsea have been handed a major boost ahead of their clash with Bournemouth after N’Golo Kante returned to training on Thursday.

The midfielder has been sidelined since the international break after suffering a hamstring injury during France’s win over Bulgaria.

The 26-year-old has missed four games so far and was a major doubt for Chelsea’s Premier League fixture against Manchester United on November 5.

But Kante now looks set to return before that game at Stamford Bridge as he trained with teammates this week.

Conte has also admitted that Kante is ‘ready’ to play but is adamant that he will not rush the midfielder’s return.

‘He’s progressing well,’ said the Chelsea boss after the 2-1 win over Everton on Wednesday.

‘I am happy, I saw him in a good physical condition.

‘We need to keep calm and find the right moment to put him in the team. Now it will be very easy to tell him to play.

‘We must pay attention and to find the best solution for him. He’s ready.’
