Arsenal could be without Sead Kolasinac for Sunday’s clash against Manchester City after the defender missed training on Wednesday.

The Bosnian picked up a knock in Saturday’s 2-1 win against Swansea at the Emirates.

The left-back got the Gunners back on level terms against the Swans but Arsene Wenger admitted afterwards that the defender was a doubt for Thursday’s Europa League clash against Red Star Belgrade.

Speaking ahead of the game on Thursday, Wenger admitted Kolasinac’s injury is not as bad as first feared but refused to confirm he will return on the weekend.

‘Kolasinac today he was much better. He will have a test at the end of the week. He is not ruled out yet for Sunday,’ said Wenger.

Should the Bosnian fail to prove his fitness in time then Nacho Monreal is likely to be pushed to left wing-back.

That means Rob Holding could come in to feature alongside Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny in a back three.
