The old town’s main square is known as Glavni Trg. This resembles a Renaissance-style look and the town hall (Mariborski rotovž) dates from 1515.

Nearby Grajski Trg square there is also a 15th century Maribor Castle which houses a Knights’ Hall and the regional museum of Maribor.

On the Drava River lies Maribor Island, here is located Maribor’s oldest public bath. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions.
