Roma forward Patrik Schick admits he dreams of a transfer move to Manchester United in the future.

The 21-year-old attacker, who joined Roma on a temporary deal from Sampdoria in the summer, has struggled with injuries at the Stadio Olimpico this season and has only made one Serie A appearance for his new side.

Schick looked set to join Juventus ahead of the 2017/18 campaign, but the youngster failed two separate medicals at the club, and he has claimed he’s desperate to play for a Champions League giant at some stage in his career.

Asked whether money will be a factor, the Czech Republic international told Reporter Magazin: ‘Money? I take it as motivation, and I hope that in a few years I can move to an even bigger club where logically I’ll be paid even more. That motivation has always helped me a lot.

‘It’s not really possible to move much higher [than Roma] but there are a few clubs… let’s say Real Madrid, Barcelona or Manchester United.’

Patrik Schick has been compared to Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Picture: Getty)

Juventus legend Pavel Nedved compared Schick to United forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic earlier this summer.

‘He reminds me of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, because he was like that when he came to Juve. He didn’t have the muscles either,’ Nedved told Denik back in June.

‘Then Zlatan gained muscles and turned into a world class striker. Schick is also this type of striker – great feet, tall and fast.

”If Patrik keeps improving himself he can turn into a world class striker as well.’
