Chelsea could reignite their interest in Arturo Vidal as Bayern Munich are considering selling the midfielder at the end of the season, according to reports in Germany.

Vidal has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, with Antonio Conte reportedly keen on linking back up with the Chilean.

Vidal was signed by Conte for Juventus in 2011 and the pair won three Serie A titles together at the Italian club.

Kicker now reports that Bayern’s hierarchy are unhappy with Vidal’s performances and are unsure whether the Chile international can get back to his best.

Bayern are also under pressure to make a decision over Vidal’s future as his contract expires in June 2019, meaning that he would need to be sold next summer in order for the German champions to receive a decent transfer fee.

Vidal turned 30 in May but Conte has made it clear to Chelsea’s board that he wants to strengthen his squad due to the additional demands of the Champions League.

Earlier this year, reports in Chile claimed that Conte had held talks with Vidal about a move to Stamford Bridge and the midfielder had even begun to learn English to help his transition to the Premier League.
