Paul Pogba is training with Manchester United’s reserves as he edges closer to making his return, according to reports.

The France international has been sidelined since September 12 after injuring his hamstring in United’s win over Basel in the Champions League.

ESPN claim that several of United’s players have been given time off this week if they were not selected for their national sides, but Pogba has stayed at the club’s training ground to work on his fitness.

United’s club-record signing was also joined in a reserve team session on Wednesday by Michael Carrick and Marcos Rojo, who are working on their recoveries.

If Pogba suffers no setbacks during the international break, Jose Mourinho is hopeful that he will be available for United’s clash at home to Newcastle United on November 18.

Carrick and Rojo are also in a similar position to Pogba and could also be part of the matchday squad if they remain on track.

Rojo travelled with United’s team to London for their 1-0 defeat to Chelsea but was not fit enough to make the bench.
