Alexandre Lacazette has been handed a surprise start for Arsenal’s clash with Manchester United on Saturday evening.

The striker suffered a groin injury in the 5-0 win over Huddersfield Town on Wednesday and Arsene Wenger had ruled the France international out of the match against Jose Mourinho’s side.

But Lacazette reportedly trained without problems on Friday and will now lead Arsenal’s attack at the Emirates Stadium.

Alexis Sanchez also makes the starting line-up after suffering a minor hamstring problem against Huddersfield.

For United, Nemanja Matic is fit enough to make Mourinho’s starting XI after he was forced off in the win over Watford due to injury.

Three central defenders in Marcos Rojo, Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof have been selected, with Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young operating on the flanks.

After scoring late on against Watford, Jesse Lingard starts ahead of Marcus Rashford in United’s attack.
