Barcelona misfit Arda Turan fueled rumours of an imminent move to Arsenal with the most cryptic of tweets ahead of the January transfer window.

Turan, 30, completed a high-profile transfer from Atletico Madrid to the Nou Camp in the summer of 2015 but the attacking midfielder has only made 55 appearances in all competitions for the Catalan giants.

The Turkey international is yet to play a single minute of first-team football under Ernesto Valverde and is being heavily linked with a move to the Premier League.

Turan’s agent, Ahmet Bulut, admits he is in talks with teams from Spain, Italy and England and uploaded a picture of himself alongside the forward in London at the weekend.

On Wednesday, Turan shared a photograph of his own taken in the capital, with the caption ‘Winter is coming’, hinting at a move in the coming weeks.

Bulut confirmed that his client will be leaving Barcelona in the new year.

‘It’s not clear right now where he is going but he will leave from Barcelona in January,’ he said at the weekend.

‘We’re talking with three or four teams from Spain, Italy and England. There is no contact with Galatasaray.

‘After 15 days we’ll make a final decision. There are two options: he will be sold or loaned.’

Reports suggest Barca have offered Turan to Arsenal in exchange for Mesut Ozil, with the German playmaker out of contract at the Emirates next summer.
