Manchester United will have another chance to sign Ivan Perisic in the January transfer window, according to reports.

The Croatia international was one of Jose Mourinho’s priority targets in the summer but United refused to meet Inter’s asking price.

The 28-year-old has since signed a new five-year contract with the Italian club, keeping tied to San Siro until 2022.

But The Sun claims that United still have a shot of signing Perisic in the upcoming window if they meet Inter’s £45 million asking price.

Inter currently sit top of Serie A and Perisic has been one of the team’s standout stars this season.

So far this term, the winger has scored seven goals and registered six assists in 16 league appearances.

Mourinho wanted Perisic as another option in United’s wide attacking roles, while the Croatian’s pinpoint crossing would also be an excellent aid to Romelu Lukaku’s aerial presence.
