Arsene Wenger has claimed that Arsenal’s away form has been improving over the last few months, despite ongoing concerns after a 0-0 draw with West Ham.

The Gunners toiled against the Hammers, managing just three shots on target during the London Stadium clash.

It means Arsenal have won just nine points from a possible 27 on the road in the Premier League this season.

Despite that, Wenger said the Gunners had been improving over the last two months.

‘Basically, I believe if you look at last two months we’ve improved away from home but usually we’ve conceded too many and at the moment we cannot reproach that.’

Since the start of November the Gunners have lost at Man City and Cologne and drawn at the homes of Southampton and West Ham. Their only win on the road was against Burnley.

Wenger went on to use the fixture scheduling as a potential reason for Arsenal’s impotence against West Ham.

‘Tonight I feel more we only had three days to recover from Sunday’s game. If it had been reversed – we play Saturday and West Ham play Sunday – maybe we could have found a little advantage.’
