Arsene Wenger will have to quit as manager of Arsenal unless things improve in the second half of the season, says Martin Keown.

The Gunners have slipped to seventh in the Premier League after the latest round of fixtures as their concerning away form continued.

They drew 0-0 with West Ham at the London Stadium meaning they’ve collected just nine points from a possible 27 on the road this season.

Former Arsenal defender Keown, who played under Wenger, thinks the end of the Frenchman’s long reign could be in sight.

He told BT Sport: ‘Champions League now is not looking like it’s not going to happen for Arsene Wenger and questions are going to come again for the manager – is he going to be there next season or not? It looks like the end.

‘If it doesn’t get much better for him then at the end of the season he has to hold his hands up and say maybe I’m not the man to take this club forward.’

Wenger signed a new two-year deal over the summer and has always vowed he will never has and never will break a contract.
