Ex-Chelsea assistant Henk ten Cate has mocked Jose Mourinho by claiming that he will need to borrow ‘two more buses’ from the Manchester United manager in order for his Al Jazira side to keep out Real Madrid.

Al Jazira face Madrid in the semi-final of the World Club Cup on Wednesday and the Champions League holders are heavy favourites to progress.

And Ten Cate, who spent seven months as Avram Grant’s assistant at Stamford Bridge, has joked that he needs Mourinho’s help to reach the final.

‘We need three buses,’ said the Dutchman.

‘Maybe Mourinho can come by and stick two more buses in front of our goal.

‘Dreaming is OK, but you must not become stupid, you must be realistic. And if you are realistic, the chances of winning are not really big.

‘The difference in quality is just too huge. But my team will fight, like they did before, they will fight until the bitter end.’
