Arsene Wenger admits he’s unlikely to dip into the transfer market in January and says he’s almost certain nobody will leave.

The Gunners broke their transfer record to sign Alexandre Lacazette last summer, while Sead Kolasinac arrived on a free.

However, the club actually finished the window in profit after Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Gabriel Paulista, Kieran Gibbs and Wojciech Szczesny left the club for a combined £68m.

Arsenal are currently one point outside the top four and are through to the semi-finals of the League Cup.

Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil have been linked with exits in January but Wenger says he’s ‘90%’ sure that his squad will remain exactly the same.

‘You do not imagine that we will change 10 players in January. It’s 90 per cent that it’s the same squad.

‘If we can find some additions to strengthen our squad we will do it. But we have a big squad, I think we have players of quality.

Arsenal fans certainly want additions in January and the Gunners’ midfield looks like the weakest area of Wenger’s squad.

However, Wenger says he has faith in his current crop.

‘We need just to stick together and fight as we can until the end of the season,’ continued Wenger.

‘I believe that we have to be faithful to the players we have at the moment,’
