Talking to PSG, Alexis Sanchez? (Picture: Getty)

Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez has fueled rumours he’s set for a move to Paris Saint-Germain after being spotted in the French capital ahead of the side’s trip to Crystal Palace.

Sanchez is out of contract at the Emirates at the end of the 2017/18 campaign and the Gunners are considering cashing in on the 29-year-old attacker in the January transfer window.

PSG, Bayern Munich and Manchester City are all battling to sign Sanchez, with Arsenal willing to let the Chile international leave for a fee of around £35million in the new year.

It’s believed City are prepared to wait until next summer to land the forward and it appears PSG could be getting an upper hand on their rivals in the transfer race.

Sanchez was snapped at the airport after arriving in Paris on Tuesday morning – just two days before Arsene Wenger’s side take on Palace at Selhurst Park.

The Chilean’s teammates are understood to be furious with his attitude in the lead-up to January and a heated exchange occurred following Arsenal’s 1-1 draw with Southampton.

Asked if he expects to have a busy January, Wenger said: ‘Yes, because first of all you have clubs that call you to get players on loan or to buy your players.

‘And as well I’m open-minded to any possibility to strengthen our team.’

Mesut Ozil, like Sanchez, is free to leave next summer, but there have been rumours circulating that the German playmaker is on the cusp of agreeing a new deal.

It’s claimed the Gunners are focusing on securing a new contract for Ozil and are resigned to losing Sanchez.
