Caught you, Arsene! (Picture: Sky Sports)

Arsene Wenger was universally mocked for the 3,456th time after eagle-eyed Arsenal fans spotted him struggling with his zip – again – before the side’s clash with Crystal Palace.

The Frenchman has famously had issues with his zip in the past and you would have thought he’d have got the hang of it after 810 matches in the Premier League. Clearly he hasn’t.

Wenger stressed that his Arsenal side must be wary of the threat of Christian Benteke and Wilfried Zaha before kick-off, but clearly the biggest threat on Thursday evening was the little metal thing on his coat.

Ever heard of Velcro, Arsene?

The Gunners boss will be hoping for a victory at Selhurst Park to save any further embarrassment.

Asked about his record-equalling achievement before kick-off, Wenger told Sky Sports: ‘With luck, I got confidence off people at the club, and that is difficult to keep for such a long time.

‘I was also spoilt with quality players.

‘If I give myself one merit, maybe it’s that I work very hard. I dedicated my life completely to this job.’

Wenger is set to surpass Ferguson’s record on when Arsenal travel to West Brom on New Year’s Eve.
