Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has denied that the club are keen on signing David Luiz in the January transfer window.

Luiz, 30, has only made 13 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea this season after a falling out with Antonio Conte back in November.

Reports have suggested that the Gunners are weighing up a £30million offer for the Brazilian but Wenger insists there is no truth to the recent speculation.

Asked about the rumours, Wenger said: ‘I don’t want to speak about any names.

‘But these reports are wrong.’

Wenger was disappointed with referee Mike Dean’s decision to award West Brom a controversial penalty at the Hawthorns.

He said: ‘It was very disappointing the way it happened.

‘What is disappointing it happens many times this season.

‘I was not happy with the movement the referee made, because it did not correspond with what happened.

‘He saw what he wanted to see.’
