Josh Cullen’s tooth flew from his mouth (BBC)

West Ham midfielder Josh Cullen had his front tooth kicked out during his side’s FA Cup Third Round tie with Shrewsbury.

The 21-year-old looked to head the ball but only found the high foot of his Shrewsbury opponent Abu Ogogo.

Video footage showed his a tooth fly from his mouth as a result of the clash.

The 21-year-old received treatment on the pitch as blood poured from his mouth while a member of West Ham’s medical team picked the stray tooth out of the turf.

Incredibly, Cullen returned to the pitch following the incident after replacing his blood stained shorts. ‘Good spirit that,’ remarked BBC co-commentator Danny Murphy.

His tooth however stayed on the bench, where it was placed in a glass of milk.
