Arsenal FC news: Alexis Sanchez and Laurent Koscielny could miss Sunderland clash due to injury

Alexis Sanchez and Laurent Koscielny are doubts for Arsenal's clash with Sunderland.

The Gunners host the Black Cats on Tuesday night looking to keep alive their top four hopes.

But they will have to potentially contend without Koscielny and Sanchez who are both struggling for fitness.

"We have a little problem with Koscielny from Stoke. We'll see how he has recovered today," said Wenger on Monday.

"Everybody else should be available. I left Gibbs behind on Saturday but he is available again. Oxlade-Chamberlain is still out.

"Alexis Sanchez will have a test today. Yesterday it didn't look too good, but with him you never know.

"He's so keen. Maybe it was just a kick. It could be a possibility that he recovers for tomorrow.

"Koscielny has a little recurrence of his calf problem which kept him out against Southampton. Alexis has a kick on his thigh."

Meanwhile, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain remains sidelined and is in a race to be fit for the FA Cup final on May 27.

The England international limped off against Southampton on Wednesday with a hamstring injury and missed Saturday's win over Stoke.

The 23-year-old has now been ruled out of the Gunners' last two Premier League games of the season against Sunderland and Everton.

"Oxlade-Chamberlain is still out. The earliest chance he has is to be available for the Cup final," said Wenger.

"I would say it's 80:20 [percent that he does play against Chelsea]."
