Arsenal FC news: Laurent Koscielny out of Crystal Palace clash but defender’s injury not as bad as first feared

Arsenal have been given a boost by the news Laurent Koscielny's injury is not as bad as first thought.

The defender limped off during the 2-2 draw against Manchester City last Sunday and it was feared he had damaged his Achilles tendon.

However, scans have revealed that this is not the case and, while the France international will miss Monday's match with Crystal Palace, he is not expected to be a long-term absentee.

"It will be shorter than expected. It's not a tendon problem," said Arsene Wenger.
