Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud faces a late fitness test before London derby with Chelsea at the Emirates

Olivier Giroud will face a late fitness test ahead of Arsenal’s clash with Chelsea on Saturday.

Giroud has been sidelined with a toe injury which he suffered during the Gunners’ Champions League draw with Paris Saint-Germain last week.

The France international returned to first-team training this week, yet Wenger insists that the striker still needs to pass a fitness test.

"Well we have no new injuries," said Wenger.

"Olivier Giroud has a test today to see if he can be involved, he had a good training session yesterday so he is really the only one who could come back."
