Arsene Wenger rules out imminent England return for injured Jack Wilshere

Arsene Wenger has ruled Arenal midfielder Jack Wilshere out of playing in England's upcoming internationals.

The Three Lions face San Marino and Switzerland next month as they continue their qualification campaign for Euro 2016.

Wilshere had been speculated to make a shock return for England after missing Arsenal's start to the season with an ankle injury.

However, Wenger has now ruled him out of the international break and says he won't return until after that.

"I would believe [playing before the international break] is a bit too optimistic, it's too early to think he would be playing for England," said Wenger.

"After the international break he has a chance, but before the international break he has no chance."
