Chelsea boss Mourinho vows to fight FA misconduct charge

Jose Mourinho has confirmed he will fight his latest Football Association improper conduct charge.

The Chelsea manager was hit with the charge after being dismissed by referee Chris Foy during his side's 1-0 defeat at Aston Villa on Saturday.

Mourinho entered the pitch in an attempt to speak to Foy following a red card being shown to Blues midfielder Ramires and was subsequently sent to the stands.

"For obvious reasons I don't accept the charges," Mourinho said.

Asked the basis for his defence, the Blues boss added: "I have to do it Monday, I have to do it privately."

It is the second time Mourinho has been hit with an improper conduct charge this season.

The 51-year-old was fined £8,000 in October after being sent off during a Premier League clash against Cardiff.
