‘I NEVER thought about moving’ – Mario Gotze quashes Arsenal and Manchester United links
Bayern Munich attacking midfielder Mario Gotze never thought about leaving the club.
The Germany international, who netted 15 goals in 48 appearances last season, was linked with a move away from the Allianz Arena in the summer.
Both Arsenal and Manchester United were tipped to make bids for the World Cup winner amid reports he was ready for a fresh challenge.
However, the 23-year-old claims he has never had any intention of leaving Bayern having helped his side to win eight Bundesliga games in a row.
"I never thought about moving," Gotze told Suddeutsche Zeitung.
"There may well have been other clubs interested in me but I had no interest in leaving Bayern.
"I feel very, very good here and I'm glad to be a Bayern player."
