Mourinho claims Torres does NOT want to leave Chelsea

Jose Mourinho has revealed Fernando Torres has given him no indication that he wants to leave Chelsea and the Spaniard remains a part of his plans.

It has been reported that Torres could be set to leave Chelsea before Monday's transfer deadline, with Serie A sides AC Milan and Roma both interested.

However, Mourinho says Torres has not informed him of his desire to leave and that he requires the 30-year-old to mount a challenge for multiple trophies this season.

"What we have clear is that we need three strikers to face the season. He is one of them. I like him as a person. I like him as a player," said Mourinho.

"If he wants to leave it is something he didn't say to me. At the moment he is our player, nothing more than that.

"If he wants to leave I believe it is because he wants to try a new life, a new club, a new league. If he wants to leave I believe it is to try and be happier than he was in the last couple of year."
