Match ends, West Ham United 3, Bolton Wanderers 0.
Marko Arnautovic impressed as Premier League side West Ham reached the Carabao Cup fourth round by beating the Championship's bottom side Bolton.
Arnautovic provided a free-kick for Angelo Ogbonna's thumping header and set up Diafra Sakho to stroke home.
Full-back Arthur Masuaku scored a thunderous goal late on, striking high into the top corner from 25 yards.
Bolton's only effort on target fell to Mark Beevers, but the defender headed straight at goalkeeper Adrian.
Phil Parkinson's Bolton have failed to win any of their opening eight league games, and off-field issues regarding the club's ownership have contributed to the instability.
The Lancashire side proved no match for the Hammers, who lost their opening three top-flight games, but the pressure has since eased on boss Slaven Bilic after a victory and draw in recent fixtures.
Arnautovic, signed in the summer from Stoke for £25m, put in his best performance in a West Ham shirt, causing all sorts of problems for the visitors.
He laid on two goals and should have found the net himself, but Mark Howard pushed away a fierce drive and the Austrian was off target with a chipped effort.
Bilic said: "I could have asked for more. I want Arnautovic to do more. He has got that quality and that something extra.
"I like him as a player, but sometimes he gets happy with the few things that he does when I want him to push the borders."
Striker Andre Ayew should have scored in the opening period too, but struck wide from close range and also hit the side-netting.

Aren't you bored of not being funny yet? Because everyone else is bored of you. I suppose you think west ham were given a free stadium too? Ooh and politics, boris johnson. Well done. Karren brady is a tory? Wow your stunning research, intellect and wit is only second to forrest gump.
@13: That's because there are far more posters who delight in taking a pop at the Kop at every available opportunity. Whereas there are only about 4 SimpleTons (see what I did there?!) who like to have ago at WH no matter what. That's t'internet for you, I'm afraid!
