Arsene Wenger’s list of Arsenal signings is pretty impressive, topped by the likes of Thierry Henry, Patrick Vieira and Cesc Fabregas.

However, the list of players that he nearly signed is ever more star-studded.

Wenger came close to bringing Christiano Ronaldo, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Lionel Messi and Yaya Toure to North London back in the day.

More recently, it has been revealed that Wenger almost signed one of today’s top teenagers – 19-year-old Kingsley Coman.

According to the London Evening Standard, Arsenal nearly bought Coman from PSG last year, but he snubbed the Gunners in favour of a move to Juventus.

“We really tried to sign Kingsley Coman in the summer of 2014,” Wenger told beIN sports.

“The transfer was almost completed, but he preferred Juventus.”

Coman has since been loaned out by Juve to Bayern Munich.

He has scored three Bundesliga goals, as well as one in the Champions League, for Bayern this season.
