Arsenal boss reveals what he would tell God

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed what he would tell God if he were to make it to heaven.

Wenger was quoted by the Sun as saying if God were to ask him what he has done with his life he would reply by saying he tried to win football games.

The Arsenal boss also stated that he would tell God that winning football games is not as easy as it looks.

“I never liked the retirement word because we are here to be active and to fight until the last day of your life,” Wenger said.

“If God exists and one day I go up to heaven he will ask, ‘What have you done with your life?’ and the only answer I will have is, ‘I tried to win football games’.

“Then he will say, ‘Is that all you have done?’ and I’ll reply, ‘It’s not as easy as it looks’. I started to manage when I was 33 and I’m one of the few managers in the world who has not had any break years.

“I’ve worked every day of my life because I love it.”

Wenger is into the final year on his contract at Arsenal and has yet to reach an agreement over an extension.

The French manager is the longest serving coach in the Premier League and has won three Premier League titles with the Gunners.

Arsenal are currently second in the league having won their last six games in a row. Only goal difference separates the Gunners from leaders Manchester City who are also on 19 points.

The North London based outfit take on newly promoted Middlesbrough on Saturday.
