Man Utd boss Jose Mourinho was sent off from the touchline in the dying stages of his side’s win over Southampton for entering the field.
As reported by Sky Sports, referee Craig Pawson opted to send him off in stoppage time as he encroached onto the pitch. However, Mourinho kept his cool and shook hands with the Southampton staff before making his way down the tunnel.
Based on the image below which shows the ‘incident’, it hardly looks like the worst misdemeanour that we’ve ever seen but rules are rules and Pawson has stuck to his guns.

It’s unlikely that the decision would have soured Mourinho’s mood too much as he wasn’t particularly grumpy in his post-match interview.
And why would he be with Man Utd securing another win in a tough game which keeps them level with rivals Man City at the top of the Premier League table with six games gone having collected 16 points and remaining unbeaten.
