Jurgen Klopp reveals when he hopes to have key Liverpool star available

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has been discussing when he expects to welcome Adam Lallana back from injury as he eyes a huge boost for his squad.

A hamstring injury has ensured that the 29-year-old has yet to make an appearance this season, and his absence has proven to be costly to Liverpool.

Without his energy, pressing and quality in the final third, the Reds have certainly been missing something in their overall play, and they’ll hope to have him back as soon as possible.

Based on Klopp’s assessment though, as seen in the tweet below from freelance injury analyst Ben Dinnery, he expects to be without him for a few weeks yet.

The German tactician suggested in his press conference ahead of the Champions League clash with Maribor this week that Lallana could return after the international break in November.

That means the England international will likely miss games against Maribor, Tottenham, Huddersfield and West Ham as he continues his recovery from that troublesome hamstring problem.

Importantly though, Liverpool will have to be sure that he doesn’t rush back as ultimately the last thing that either the club or the player want is for him to suffer a setback, as that would be damaging to both.

It’s been a rocky start to the campaign for Liverpool as they sit in eighth place in the Premier League table after eight games, two points adrift of the top four and nine behind leaders Manchester City.

In turn, welcoming key players back will be a huge boost for all concerned, especially in Lallana’s case as he contributed eight goals and seven assists in 31 Premier League appearances last season as he continued to take big strides under Klopp.
