Step forward, David Luiz, a man clearly frustrated with all the defending he has to do in his regular job as a centre-back.

With shooting technique like this shown against Roma, it’s easy to see why Antonio Conte trusted the Brazilian to play further forward to help cope with the injuries to N’Golo Kante and Danny Drinkwater.

In fairness, Luiz has been used in such a role on one or two occasions in the past, and while it hasn’t always worked out as expected, it’s clear he has potential when he gets on the ball in these kinds of areas.

He’s certainly made Conte’s life a little easier, with various reports stating Kante could be out for some time, while there has been little update on Drinkwater since he arrived from Leicester City in the summer with a calf problem.

Having won their first two Champions League group games, Chelsea would be delighted with another three points tonight, and thanks to Luiz they’re already on their way there.
