“I’ll be happy” – Jurgen Klopp reveals projected return for injured Liverpool ace

Given his importance to the team, it would have come as a crushing blow for Liverpool to lose Sadio Mane to injury.

The 25-year-old picked up from where he left off last season as he continued to play an influential role for the Merseyside giants, scoring three goals and providing two assists in nine games.

However, then came his suspension for the red card he was shown against Manchester City which disrupted his good early form, while The Guardian report on how he picked up a hamstring injury on international duty earlier this month and was ruled out for six weeks.

Liverpool didn’t miss him too much in the dismantling of Maribor this week, but there are much tougher tests to come, starting with this weekend’s encounter with Tottenham at Wembley.

It’s never a good time to lose one of your most influential players, but as seen in the tweet below from freelance injury analyst Ben Dinnery, Klopp has revealed that he would be “happy” if Mane was able to return within the initial six-week timeline.

Given the nature of the setback, it will be crucial for Liverpool and Mane not to rush back and risk aggravating the hamstring problem which could force him into an even lengthier spell on the sidelines.

However, for now, it sounds as though the end of November will be a likely return date for him, with games against Southampton, Sevilla, Chelsea and Stoke City to end the month and so Klopp will undoubtedly welcome him back into the fold with open arms.
