Arsenal ace risks FA action with social media post after Everton win

Given that he’s only scored 12 goals in his entire career dating back to 2004, it’s no real surprise that Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal cherishes each one.

The Spaniard was delighted with his effort against Everton, as he helped the Gunners to an impressive 5-2 win over the Toffees at Goodison Park with a crucial equaliser after Wayne Rooney had put the hosts ahead.

On Monday morning, the 31-year-old shared a video of his goal, and as reported by The Sun, he may well have just broken copyright law by uploading it.

It seems strange that a player could be in hot water for posting a video of his own goal, but ultimately several media outlets have run with the same story and it seems as though he may be getting an email in the very near future from the FA.

Further, it remains to be seen whether or not he has to remove the video as he may also face a slap on the wrists from Instagram over the matter, but while it’s understandable that illegal streams and the like are targeted, it seems a bit harsh if Monreal is indeed in trouble over the post.

Nevertheless, a goal’s a goal and ultimately he’ll be delighted to have played an important role in a big win for Arsenal. After their loss at Watford last time out in the league, they needed to bounce back. While Everton are miles away from their best with Ronald Koeman leaving the club on Monday after a terrible run of form, it was still an impressive win as Goodison Park is always a difficult place to go.

Good morning Gunners!! ??
