Arsenal eyeing up 25-year-old Barcelona ace, Gunners could face stiff competition from European giants for star

Arsenal have sparked up an interest in one of the world’s best ‘keepers.

It’s being reported by Spanish news outlet Don Balon that the north London side are interested in signing Barcelona and Germany star Marc Andre Ter-Stegen.

The same source are also reporting that both PSG and Juventus are interested in the 25-year-old, so should Arsene Wenger’s side wish to sign the player, they may face some stiff competition in the race to secure his signature.

Following his move from Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach in 2014, Ter-Stegen has seen himself become one of the greatest shot-stoppers in Europe.

The Germany star was understudy to Claudio Bravo when he first arrived at the Nou Camp, however since the Chilean’s departure, Ter-Stegen has done a very solid job of filling his void.

Since his debut for the Blaugrana in 2014, Ter-Stegen has kept 46 clean sheets in 109 games, a record that should not be sniffed at.

The player’s absolutely amazing handling and distribution, particularly with his feet, has seen him become one of the most talked about and highly-rated ‘keepers in the world, it’s no wonder Arsenal are interested in signing him!

During his time with Barcelona, the player has managed to fill his trophy cabinet to the brim, as since his arrival, the Spanish giants have won one Champions League, two La Liga titles, one Supercopa De Espanya, one Copa Del Rey, one European Super Cup and one Club World Cup.

Should Arsenal up their interest in Ter-Stegen, it’ll be interesting to see if they can fend off both PSG and Juventus in the race to secure the player’s signature.
