Arsenal fans cannot believe it…
Arsenal have released their starting line up for today’s clash against Manchester City, and Alexandre Lacazette is for some reason absent.
The France international has only been handed a place on the bench by Gunners boss Arsene Wenger, despite this being a crucial test for his side at the Etihad Stadium.

Alexandre Lacazette sends worrying message to Arsenal fans
Lacazette has impressed since his big move from Lyon in the summer, but Wenger has often looked reluctant to use the striker in the big games, having also benched him in the 4-0 defeat to Liverpool back in August.

As well as benching Lacazette, Wenger has also reverted to a back four today, having used a back three and wing-backs for most games since the end of last season.
That tactical change had mixed results for Arsenal, though it’s unclear why Wenger has suddenly decided to tweak things in that area with his side in relatively good form.
All in all, Arsenal fans have pretty much given up on getting a result today already…
