Jose Mourinho manages to troll all his rivals in one interview, Man Utd boss in fine form

Man Utd boss Jose Mourinho has always had a way with words, and this interview proves it as he has hilariously had a pop at practically every one of his rivals.

The 54-year-old has had quite the managerial career dating back to his time at Porto, where he lifted two league trophies as well as the Champions League in 2004.

That trend continued at Chelsea where he won three league titles and a whole host of domestic cups, while it was a similar situation at Inter and Real Madrid respectively with two Serie A titles and a La Liga triumph to add to his CV along with another Champions League winners medal during his time with the Nerazzurri.

Mourinho will look to continue that pattern at Old Trafford now having picked up three trophies in his first season in charge at the club, as he now has a total of 25 trophies in his cabinet.

Never one to miss an opportunity to have a sarcastic dig at his critics and his rivals, the Portuguese tactician has done so by questioning the record of his opponents in the Premier League without naming any names.

However, he evidently knows what he’s talking about, as a closer look at the trophy hauls of his rivals show who needs what to match his number.

“I think that probably 25 trophies is the line that people made about a successful manager,” Mourinho told The Times.

“For some managers, they still need to reach one more trophy to reach that 25 level. Some others need 25 trophies to reach that level, some others need four, some others need 12, some others they need 15, some others they need 24. I have 25, but I still need one more [to go above the landmark]. So maybe when I win one more trophy than 25 I have a little bit of credit. But that’s not a problem.”

Pep Guardiola has won 22, while Arsene Wenger has picked up 21 trophies and Mauricio Pochettino has yet to get off the mark despite his great work at Tottenham in more recent times, and so the numbers actually match up with regards to certain bosses regardless of whether or not Mourinho knew that before he made his comments.

Antonio Conte has seven, and so Mourinho clearly wanted to issue a reminder of his track record to those questioning him as United go in search of more silverware this season.
