Real Madrid could raid United and Arsenal this January.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is reportedly looking at four big names from Manchester United and Arsenal as he looks to bring in some bargain signings in the January transfer window.

The Spanish giants are looking at four players who are set to be out of contract at the end of the season, and who could therefore move on the cheap this winter.

According to Diario Gol, the players on Real’s agenda are Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Juan Mata, Ander Herrera and Alexis Sanchez.

These could be ambitious for Real due to Ibrahimovic only recently extending his stay at Old Trafford until the summer, and with the Swede recently outlining his burning ambition to win the Premier League title with the Red Devils.

‘I said I have come back to finish what I started,’ Ibrahimovic told Sky Sports. ‘The target is the Premier League. That is my target to finish.’

Elsewhere, Arsenal forward Sanchez reportedly continues to favour the prospect of moving to Manchester City, though the Daily Mirror recently claimed that would likely wait until next season.

Real Madrid have not been in the best of form lately, losing 3-1 to Tottenham in the Champions League this week after a surprise La Liga loss to Girona last weekend.

It is little surprise to see Perez looking into strengthening his squad with more experienced names, following Cristiano Ronaldo’s complaints about the summer departures of Alvaro Morata, James Rodriguez and Pepe.

‘The players who have come in have great potential,’ Ronaldo was quoted in the Metro this week. ‘But Pepe, Morata and James Rodriguez made us stronger – now the team is younger.’
