As far as successful loan spells go, Tottenham loanee Josh Onomah is having a decent time of it during his stint with Aston Villa this season.
The 20-year-old has featured regularly for Steve Bruce’s side, but in recent weeks he’s staked his claim for a starting role and is impressing.
Aside from bagging his third goal of the season in 18 appearances for Villa, Onomah played a part in the build-up of both goals in the 2-1 win over Sunderland at Villa Park on Tuesday night as he looks to be growing in confidence.
With Villa now pushing on for promotion as they sit firmly in the playoff spots, Bruce will hope to continue to rely on the youngster to play a key role.
Meanwhile, it appears as though Tottenham supporters are also pleased with the progression that they’re seeing from their young starlet, although they’ll hope that it’s still with a view of coming back to the club rather than Villa being able to prise him away on a permanent basis at the end of his loan spell.
Onomah instrumental in both of Aston Villa’s goals last night. Can’t wait for him to tear it up in the PL next season #thfc #COYS https://t.co/4a2Z96dnlV
