Manchester City are reportedly set to offer Spanish international David Silva a new mega money deal with the club.
This is according to the Mirror, who say that the Premier League leaders are to offer the player a new deal worth £160,000-a-week, and that sources close to the club say that Silva is ready to agree an extension.
Should Silva end up signing a new deal with Pep Guardiola’s side, it’ll come as big boost for the club, as the club and fans would’ve hated to see the player leave the Etihad.
Since his arrival in England from Spain in the summer of 2010, Silva has been himself become a massive favourite at the Premier League club.
In 323 appearances for Guardiola’s side, the Spaniard has managed to score 52 times, with the 31-year-old also managing to assist 111 times in that time period as well.
This season, Silva has gotten off to a flyer, as the former Valencia star has managed to clock up one goal and eight assists in 13 league games.
The player’s incredible dribbling ability and vision has seen him touted as one of the greatest playmakers in the league.
